Day 36: Two Tours, Bowling, and Clubbing

The 10AM tour was just not happening after the Drunken Monkey crawl last eve. I needed a bit more than 3.5 hours of sleep to remotely function on any sort of tour. Luckily I had the option to settle for the 10:45AM tour. Although this would not really give me a break between the later 2:30PM Castle Tour, I still had to suck it up.

We started our tour in the familiar Old Town Square, one of the top 100 wonders of the world. As I posted some of the pictures in my prior post (as I met for the beer tasting tour), I will only focus on a few more (including the ever-famous astronomical clock):

Before I knew it, it was brew-o-clock!

We also stopped for some art installations:

…and memorials too!

Then we headed up to the castle past the guards.

And inside!

The height provided for some stellar views as well!

The weather cleared up a bit, so I finally snapped some outside shots:

Museums and such also had some installations:

Finally we stopped at the garden to wrap up the tour.

Rather than walk directly back to the hostel, I took a detour to see the Charles Bridge, etc.

By the time I arrived back to the hostel, it was just about time to party. The hostel had planned for us to all go bowling as a group. Similar to last night, most of our hostel joined in on the fun. I pulled a weak 144 yet still somehow managed the high score. Two gutter-balls in and you had to buy a round of shots for the lane. One of the Brazilian girls managed an inspiring score of 30, so we had quite a few shots before the club. Clubbing continued until just before 6AM again. I enjoyed a burrito on the edge of our window sill as the sun rose–amazing, simply amazing stuff.

One Comment:

  1. I liked the Charles Bridge.
